I chose software engineering because I love seeing how the code I write genuinely improves people's lives and daily workflows. At Tencent Cloud, upgrading the CI/CD platform and watching my developer colleagues build and deploy their code noticeably faster gave me a real sense of accomplishment. Later at Lalamove, seeing driver app features I built make the day-to-day work easier for real drivers was deeply rewarding. What I enjoy most about this career is taking complex technical challenges and turning them into practical, reliable tools that deliver immediate value to users.

Currently, I’m completing my Master of Information Technology at the University of Auckland, where I’m sharpening my understanding of advanced computer science concepts and local tech practices. On the practical side, I actively practice building modern full-stack web applications, focusing on React, TypeScript, Node.js, and cloud infrastructure. I have successfully completed core subjects including COMPSCI 734 (Web, Mobile and Enterprise Computing), COMPSCI 742 (Advanced Internet: Global Data Communications), INFOSYS 735 (Cloud Computing Architecture), and DIGIHLTH 706 (Health Data Analytics). I’m also serving as a Class Representative for COMPSCI 734, which lets me practice clear communication, gather feedback, and bridge the gap between students and teaching staff in an academic environment.

What sets me apart is a uniquely broad perspective shaped by my full-stack Engineer experience across Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and the US, alongside hands-on entrepreneurial experience in running an investment venture. This background taught me to look at software through both a business and technical lens, ownership, and how to deliver results under real pressure. Combined with strong cross-functional teamwork, I can integrate into a codebase on day one, communicate seamlessly, and reliably see complex tasks through to completion. Reflecting on my engineering journey, I am deeply proud of the systems I’ve helped build and the people I’ve had the privilege to support along the way. I am immensely grateful for every opportunity that has shaped who I am today.
